The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations and Fire Regulations place a very strict 'duty of care' on the manager of the premises. Part of the regulations stipulates that grease extract systems must be assessed for fire hazards and action MUST be taken to eliminate or minimise potential risks.
Since 2004 the responsibility for risk assessment has been placed on building owners and/or occupiers.
Kitchen grease extract systems potentially carry a high fire risk and need regular inspections and cleaning. At In Line Duct Cleaning Ltd we go to great lengths to ensure the extract systems are thoroughly cleansed and potential fire or contamination risks removed. A hygiene certificate is supplied for every job on completion and we also carry out pre and post cleaning micron testing.
